About the Road Sweeper 4,5 m³

The 4.5 m³ vacuum road sweeping equipment is designed to meet the needs of municipalities, highways, industrial zones and airports, with a compact structure suited to heavy city traffic and strong technical features.

Easily mounted on chassis with a minimum capacity of 8 tons, the system offers high suction power and a wide sweeping area while keeping fuel consumption low, delivering both performance and economy.

General Features

Scalable Superstructure Design

The equipment can be manufactured with different waste container capacities, making it adaptable to different cleaning requirements and to municipal or private vehicle fleets. This flexibility provides a solution for both narrow urban streets and large open areas.

Integrated 1,100 lt Stainless Water Tank (AISI 304)

The 1,100 lt AISI 304 stainless steel water tank is built as a single unit with the waste hopper, which keeps the system compact and resists corrosion. Its inclined position under the waste container lets waste slide out easily during unloading, saving time and labour in operations that require frequent emptying.

Fiber Side Covers for Easy Maintenance

Lightweight and durable fiber covers on both sides of the superstructure allow direct access to the auxiliary engine and hydraulic system components. This eliminates the need to lift the entire superstructure for service or repairs, saving time and ensuring safer maintenance.

Aluminum Suction Nozzle

Made of wear-resistant aluminum, the suction nozzle is both impact-resistant and lightweight. This reduces the weight load on the chassis while maintaining high vacuum performance, offering a long lifespan with low maintenance costs.

High-Pressure Washing System (20 lt / 100 bar)

Available as an option, the high-pressure washing system pre-wets the surface before sweeping to keep dust from becoming airborne. It also optimizes water consumption, minimizing environmental impact.

Portable Remote Control

The system includes a portable control unit that allows the operator to manage sweeping functions from outside the vehicle, which is ideal for tight spaces or detailed cleaning tasks. The vacuum hose, brushes and water systems can be controlled externally for versatile and efficient cleaning.

Ergonomic Control Panel

The ergonomic control panel inside the driver’s cabin provides easy access to all main system functions. The operator can control brushes, water spray, suction and the hopper system from a single, user-friendly interface, reducing training time and operator errors.

Advanced Indicator Systems

Standard indicators show auxiliary engine status, engine speed, engine temperature and low water level in real time. These indicators help detect malfunctions early and support precise maintenance scheduling.

Raised Hopper Warning

Camera System

Sweeping and Suction Systems

High-Performance Brushes

The system features Ø 320 mm side brushes and a Ø 400 mm x 1,300 mm middle brush driven by hydraulic motors. Constant contact with the surface directs dust and debris into the suction line. The standard sweeping width is 2,150 mm, and optional simultaneous dual suction extends it to 3,500 mm, cleaning both sides in a single pass on wide roads, parks and airports.

In-Cabin Brush Positioning System

As an option, side brush positions can be adjusted from inside the cabin. This allows precise sweeping along curbs, barriers and narrow paths, and brush angles can be adapted to the surface to improve cleaning efficiency.

Suction Hose and Nozzle Width

The Ø 250 mm suction hose and 750 mm nozzle width provide strong vacuum power for collecting both large and small debris. The hose is designed to prevent blockages and is durable enough for high-volume waste handling.

Sweeping Capacity and Speed

With a sweeping capacity of up to 32,250 m²/h, the system is ideal for high-volume cleaning operations. Adjustable sweeping speeds between 0 and 15 km/h make it suitable for both open areas and more delicate cleaning surfaces.

Engine and Fan System

Perkins Auxiliary Engine

The equipment is powered by a 2.2 lt, 4-cylinder, water-cooled Perkins diesel engine producing 74 hp (55 kW) and 270 Nm of torque. It complies with the EU Stage V emission standard, offering low fuel consumption and long maintenance intervals that reduce operating costs.

Heavy-Duty Suction Fan

At the heart of the vacuum system is a dynamically balanced, multi-blade fan with corrosion-resistant blades. Operating between 2,700 and 3,400 rpm, it delivers powerful and efficient suction with reduced noise and dust leakage.

Drive Options

The fan drive offers two options, a torque converter system for smooth transitions at variable speeds and a clutch-driven system known for its simplicity and low maintenance. Both allow customization based on operational needs and vehicle compatibility.
